This place did not become British Canners until after the war, it was built to assemble aircraft wings for I think Typhoons, there were two factories in Bromyard Road and another one in Newent, the finished wings were taken to Gloucester Aircraft Co for assembly. Lots of Ledbury women worked there as riveters..JG |
