I still have a HJ Chapman pencil and am always on the look out for 'Park' binders on the television programmes e.g Police programmes - quite often you can see them sitting on the shelf. We recently had a turf out at where we work and there are several 'Chapmans' items I couldn't bear to be thrown away - they are pretty useless to me but it was my history...SD I found a box of ring reinforcements with chapmans on it a few years ago and i live in Bedford...SH They were a Countrywide name and made quality products - a big business in it's day and part of Ledbury's history as well as an employer to many...SD Yes they were Shirley and it was a fantastic place to work, it was terrible how they were taken over then shut down, what a loss to the town x...SC Source Photographs are credited to the owners Comments are from members of the Old Ledbury Facebook Group Cuttings from Ledbury Reporter newspapers |
