John Jacob TILLEY was the 2nd son of Luke & Mary TILLEY.

On January 1st Luke took his youngest son John into partnership. John opened a photographic studio up the alley behind the shop at 17 High Street.

February 17 - John shown as a member of the Freemasons, Eastnor Lodge.

John acquired 17 High Street from his brother William and established a library with a large stock of books by popular authors.
